Service / 3D Product Animation
3D product animation.
Cinematic product reveals, exploded views and technical demonstrations that make complex hardware instantly understandable.
Why it works
Show what a camera can't.
A camera captures the outside of a product. 3D animation lets us move through it — separate its components, slow down a mechanism, visualise airflow or signal paths, and frame every surface exactly as it was designed.
Every animation is built from accurate product data and art-directed like a film, so it works as a launch centrepiece and as a practical explainer for your sales and support teams.
Capabilities
What goes into a Pixtrik product animation
Cinematic product reveals
Light sweeps, slow orbits and precise camera moves that build anticipation before the full product appears.
Exploded-view animations
Components separate and reassemble in sequence, making internal architecture — cooling, circuitry, drivetrains — easy to follow.
Technical feature demonstrations
Airflow, thermals, acoustics or mechanical motion visualised clearly, so specifications become something viewers can see.
Product launch films
Hero films structured for keynote screens, launch pages and paid campaigns, with cutdowns planned from the storyboard stage.
Materials & lighting
Physically based materials matched to your colour, material and finish references — metal, glass, soft-touch plastics, fabric — lit to read correctly on any screen.
Animation & rendering
Keyframed camera and product motion, rendered at the resolution and frame rate each platform needs.
Social media deliverables
Vertical and square versions, seamless loops and short edits prepared for Reels, Shorts and paid social placements.
Deliverables
What you receive.
- Hero product animation, typically 15–90 seconds
- Exploded-view and feature sequences
- 9:16 and 1:1 social cutdowns
- Seamless loops for websites and retail screens
- Key-art stills rendered from the same scenes
- Masters in the codecs and resolutions your platforms need
Final scope, formats and quantities are confirmed in your proposal.
Who it's for
- Hardware brands launching a product whose features need explaining
- Teams that need to show internal components, mechanisms or airflow
- Launch pages and keynotes that need a hero animation plus cutdowns
- Products still in development, where real footage isn't possible yet
What helps us start
- CAD or 3D files — or detailed photos with dimensions
- Colour, material and finish (CMF) references
- The features and messages to show, in priority order
- Where the animation will run, and your launch date
Production process
Discovery to delivery.
Six stages with review points, so the final film matches the brief.
- 01
Stage 01: Discovery
We learn the product, the audience, the launch plan and every place the visuals need to run.
- Brief & objectives
- Product data review
- Scope & schedule
- 02
Stage 02: Concept
References, storyboards and styleframes set the creative direction before anything is animated.
- Moodboards
- Storyboard / animatic
- Styleframes
- 03
Stage 03: Look development
Models, materials and lighting are built and approved on key frames, so the look is locked early.
- Hero model
- Materials & finishes
- Lighting setups
- 04
Stage 04: Animation
Camera and product motion are blocked, reviewed and refined against the storyboard.
- Blocking pass
- Animation passes
- 05
Stage 05: Rendering
Final frames are rendered in passes, then composited and colour graded.
- Render passes
- Compositing
- Colour grade

Stage 06: Final delivery
Masters and cutdowns exported for every screen and platform in the plan.
- Master files
- Platform cutdowns

FAQ
Questions, answered.
What do you need from us to start a CGI project?
CAD or STEP files are ideal. If they aren't available, detailed photos, dimensions, material references and physical samples can work. After reviewing your brief we'll tell you exactly what's needed.
Can you create visuals before the product physically exists?
Yes — CGI is widely used for pre-launch campaigns. With accurate CAD data and material references we can produce films and stills before samples are available.
How long does a CGI project take?
It depends on scope. A set of product stills needs far less time than a full commercial with custom environments. Every proposal includes a schedule with review milestones.
Which formats do you deliver?
Formats, resolutions and aspect ratios are agreed in each proposal, based on where the visuals will be used — for example websites, social platforms, presentations or print.
Who owns the final visuals?
Usage rights and ownership are agreed in writing in each proposal, so you know exactly how the final visuals can be used before production starts.
